Anatomy + Sketching studies : head, face and neck by DemieLune Anatomy + Sketching studies : head, face and neck by DemieLune
July 10th 2017, 46th class; 138 hours of learning at www.academ.ca/

Observation project from a plaster casting, 1 angle for this 3 hours class. Very impressive plaster model. Not the first class with this one (and not the last either!) but I was satisfied with this drawing/sketching. Still some mistakes (that pop-out once you take a picture and put it side by side with the drawing... though the angle is not 100% accurate than when I was actually drawing).

Since I've started the project to go back to sketching + anatomy studies, I'm going through a phase where I have to accept that what I produce is not always pretty or even satisfying; the sketches and drawing I produce are sometimes even shameful. But I have to accept that. For every fail I produce, I still earn something, that is invisible but there, in my eye, in my hand, in my muscle, in my perception of things. I'm still progressing, though I "have nothing (pretty) to show". Every time, I'm a little more precise, my line is more certain, I work a little faster to get to a better result. I'm learning right now that for this phase, it's not my drawings that are "work in progress", but myself! (We are WIP all our life anyway, until the end ;P )
